Born in Germany, Karen Green moved to England to continue her artistic studies in 2002. She obtained a 1st degree honours in Costume for Screen & Stage but after a traumatic motorcycle accident took a change in direction and went on to train and qualify as a Primary School teacher. In 2011, art became her focus again and she has been working as a professional artist ever since.

Her main focus is botanical art in watercolours but can't let go of her love for figure and oil paintings.  Her botanical work is not purely made as a scientific record and she tries to convey a message with the plants, fruits and flowers that she paints.

Karen currently runs day workshops in Botanical Art at The Gloucestershire Arts & Crafts Centre in Gloucester where she also sells a selection of her prints and cards.

Karen lives with her partner, Denius Parson (a sculptor) in her beautiful cottage near the River Severn in Gloucestershire.
